Are you tired of the same look in your bathroom, but don’t want to spend the big bucks remodeling it? I didn’t either, but my wife and I were tired of the look in our guest bathroom. It was originally decorated for the kids, but they have since grown and moved on with their own lives. My empty home needed a little TLC to make it welcoming for guests rather than kids now.
I made some little changes in our bathroom that really made a big difference. I’ll share what I did below in the hopes that it may help you too.
Change the Fixtures
You’d be amazed at how much just changing a bathroom’s fixtures can change the room’s appearance. Switch out the faucet for a fancier version and update the lighting. Both projects are easy enough for anyone that’s even a little bit handy, but they can make a huge difference.
Update Cabinet Hardware
If the cabinets are in good condition, leave them, but update the hardware. Add a little flair by choosing fun drawer pulls and cabinet handles. You don’t even have to paint the cabinets to get a different look. Of course, if you want to paint the cabinets, you’ll change the room’s look even more.
Install a New Vanity
A quick run to your local hardware store and you’ll find plenty of vanities to choose from. Do like I did and buy a vanity already assembled. It doesn’t take very long to install it and you’ll have a completely new look in your bathroom. A new vanity may even free up space in your bathroom if your other one was clunky and in the way.
Frame the Mirror
Want a really easy way to update your bathroom? Add a wooden frame around the mirror. Now that ugly builder’s mirror just became a work of art. Add stained wood or paint untreated wood your favorite color and really add a splash of color to the room.
These little changes will make a big impact in your bathroom. You’ll love the new look and the money you left in your pocketbook. I made these changes to our guest bathroom and just love how it came out. I hope you love it just as much.
